A dedication to a weekly round-up of things around the web that I’ve been invested in has been on my mind and my internal to-do list. This is partly born from my love of sharing and connecting and partly a way of journaling the content I’m taking in daily. I’ve yet to develop a foundational witty name for this column, so I am starting with “A list.”
Enjoy this spattering of links. If you feel inclined, share it with a friend.
Marc Chagall prints on Art Net

Some research into hand lettering, brushwork, and linework led me to these 1948 Chagall prints. Also, this well-written and informative article and gorgeous compilation of book cover designs—I especially love Ruxandra Duru’s thought-out explanations of the Range of Emotions in the linework. Emotive visual language has been something I’m exploring deeply, so this spoke to my core.
Discovering Ruxandra Duru led me down the long, inspiring path of her many projects and research. Like Color Moods. Her bio reads, “I explore, research and write about color, atmosphere, and beauty.” — and she does this for Google. (!)
Substack’s I’m reading:
Web design and content — HURS — “HURS celebrates the stories of leading women, offering smart content through a style lens.”
Last week on Instagram, I shared these images of some visual research content for a client project, and here is a bit about what’s behind my ethos when it comes to this type of research.
